The Ontario Power Authority (OPA) and Ontario’s Local Distribution Companies formed an incentive for Ontarians to save on their heating and cooling bills. In order to be considered eligible for the Heating & Cooling Incentive, residents and/or businesses must have purchased and installed central heating or cooling equipment through a participating contractor. A list of participating contractors can be found Here. You must be a resident of Ontario. Lastly, residences that do not currently have central heating or central air conditioning (CAC) systems are now also eligible to apply for the incentive. The incentive initiative provides the following incentives to consumers:

1.A $250 incentive when the consumer installs a high efficiency furnace equipped with an Electronically Commutated Motor (ECM)

2. A $250 incentive when installing an ENERGY STAR qualified CAC system (Note: ENERGY STAR qualified criteria must equal a minimum 14.5 seasonal energy efficiency ratio (SEER) and 12 energy efficiency ratio (EER)

3. A $400 incentive when you install a stand-alone CEE “Tier 2” level central air conditioning system (Note: “Tier 2” level qualified criteria equals minimum 15 SEER and 12.5 EER)Full Terms and Conditions can be found Here.

Get the Security of Industry-Leading Warranties

Your ICP home air conditioner, heat pump, or furnace carries a limited warranty on all functional parts. Most ICP units feature an outstanding 10 year parts limited warranty. Other key components, such as heat exchangers, may carry a longer limited warranty. Look for specific details in the product description, check the Warranty Certificate, or ask your dealer for information.

Split system units must be matched with a ICP indoor coil or fan coil. Prior to replacing any unit, written authorization is required from the local ICP distributor technical service contact to validate that the unit was installed properly and that the component did not fail as a result of abuse. Installation labor charges may apply. Contact installing dealer for labor charge details.

You are required to provide proof of yearly maintenance service by a qualified service technician to keep your warranty valid. The dealer also needs the serial number and model number of your unit, so keep your original receipts. For assistance in filing claims, your dealer can contact the distributor, who is supported by International Comfort Products (ICP).
